Houtong Cat Village, located in Ruifang District, New Taipei City, is a tourist attraction famous for its large population of street cats and was once recommended by CNN as one of the top six cat-watching spots in the world.

The village is home to over 200 street cats, all cared for by local residents and cat lovers, keeping them clean and friendly. 🥰

Houtong was once an important mining settlement in Taiwan, and many mining relics can still be seen in the Cat Village.

In addition to Houtong Station, the Centennial Coal Mine Museum, Cat Village Cafe Street, and numerous cat-themed souvenir shops, you can also visit the Cat Village along with the nearby Pingxi Line attractions Shifen and Jingtong.
