Tamsui is a popular tourist destination in New Taipei City. Its most famous feature is Tamsui Old Street, which boasts a wide variety of delicious food and is easily accessible.
- The "Tamsui Red House" is a well-known local landmark, completed in 1899, and considered an important historical building in Tamsui alongside Fort San Domingo. Today, the Red House houses a Chinese restaurant on the first floor and a cafe on the third floor, situated on higher ground, offering a superb vantage point overlooking the Tamsui River!
- The "Tamsui Chapel" is a popular tourist attraction in Tamsui and a designated historical site of New Taipei City. Located on Mackay Street in Tamsui, this Gothic-style red brick building is a must-see.
- Tamsui Old Street is bustling with people and lined with delicious food. Must-try dishes include Tamsui A-gei (a type of fried dough), fish balls, Grandma's iron eggs, sour plum drink, and Cantonese rice noodle rolls, all classic Tamsui delicacies. You can also find many popular Taiwanese souvenirs along the way.
- Rongdi Waterfront is located next to the "Hobe Fire Station and Disaster Prevention Promotion Theme Hall," a scenic spot for taking photos in Tamsui and a popular dating destination along the Tamsui River. Many couples stroll here at dusk to watch the sunset. Rongdi Waterfront boasts two distinctive restaurants with scenic views: Rongdi Water Bay Restaurant and Tamsui Long Embankment Cafe, both highly rated and recommended online.
