[New Taipei] Peishan Coffee

Take a weekend getaway to the mountains!

Located at the end of the Wutu Creek Trail in Shiding, Peishan Coffee offers simple fare. Enjoy home-style dishes paired with a drink. Choose between black coffee and kumquat juice. Set menus are all 300 yuan. The hostess was also very nice and treated us to a pomelo and freshly brewed tea.

What are you having today? Hakka Braised Pork with Dried Plums NT$300
All of these dishes went really well with rice, making it easy to leave with more than one bowl. The braised pork with dried plums was very tender and juicy, perfect with rice.

Japanese-Style Kabayaki Sea Bass Steak NT$300
The sea bass was very tender and went great with the kabayaki sauce and rice. Overall, it was pretty good.

Traditional Peanut Pork Knuckle NT$300
I absolutely love pork knuckles, especially the tender, fatty parts. It's a real treat to chew on the bone, so this is a must-try. Side dishes include my favorite scrambled eggs with pumpkin and cucumber. The side dishes are always different and surprising.

Caramel Pancakes NT$80
After a hearty meal, I crave a starchy treat with coffee or a drink. I couldn't resist but had two caramel pancakes. The crust was crispy and had a light, milky aroma when served warm.
