Rockefeller Center Observation Deck, also known as Top of the Rock, is located on the 70th floor of Rockefeller Center, a building constructed in 1933 by businessman John D. Rockefeller Jr. His vision was to create a central hub for business, shopping, and entertainment in New York City. The building is situated in Rockefeller Plaza, between 5th Avenue and 6th Avenue.
The highlight of this location is its unparalleled view of iconic landmarks. Visitors can see Central Park, the Empire State Building, and even as far as Lower Manhattan, where the One World Trade Center and the Statue of Liberty are visible in the distance. Many people recommend this observation deck as the top choice if you have limited time and budget, making it a popular destination. However, some may find it less appealing due to the crowds.
Additionally, two new attractions were introduced this year: Skylift, a private observation tower offering a 360-degree view, and The Beam, where visitors can sit on a giant steel beam to take photos and enjoy the view, mimicking the atmosphere of construction workers taking a break during their work.
