How to get to the island to see the Statue of Liberty

To visit the island and see the Statue of Liberty, besides reserving your cruise tickets in advance, you must also take the round-trip cruise from Battery Park.

After getting off the bus or subway, walk toward the park entrance. There are signs along the way. At the park entrance, staff wearing vests will verify your ticket. If you don't have a ticket, head inside the park to the official ticket counter. Be sure to buy one there!

You'll see many people pretending to be staff asking if you have a ticket and offering to buy one for you (they'll also be wearing vests). Just pretend not to understand and walk away! Don't pay any attention to them; most of them are scammers.

After entering, you'll go through security before boarding the boat. After security, you can line up to board the boat and depart. On the boat, remember to check the schedule on the big screen on the first floor (you can take a picture of it so you can board the boat on time).

After arriving at the island and getting off the boat, you'll pass by a gift shop and a stall selling ice cream and drinks. Browse around and then admire the Statue of Liberty.
