Sun Messe Nichinan in Nichinan City, Miyazaki Prefecture, is a tourist spot known for its seven Moai statues standing on a hill overlooking the Pacific Ocean. These Moai statues are the first in the world to be completely reproduced with official permission from the Easter Island Elders' Association, and are lined up with life-size Ahu Akivi statues.
Each Moai statue is said to have a different fortune, and from left to right, they represent "work luck," "health luck," "love luck," "leisure luck," "marriage luck," "money luck," and "study luck." In particular, the Moai statues representing love luck and money luck are said to improve your luck when you touch them, and they attract many tourists.
The park boasts an area of about 20 hectares, and in addition to the Moai statues, there are plenty of attractions, such as the World Insect Museum, which displays butterflies and insects from around the world, a World Heritage Site display panel approved by UNESCO headquarters, and a swing that looks like it will jump out into the sea.
