Of course you have to go to Hakone Shrine when you go to Hakone! This shrine is the symbol of Hakone, and of course you have to walk up a lot of stairs to get in! In fact, many shrines in Japan are like this, because it shows that the people who go there have a "divine heart".
When we went there, in addition to appreciating the tranquility inside, we also had to visit the most famous Torii! This torii gate is great for taking photos, and it’s also a check-in spot for many people! It is quite an experience to look at the lake view and take photos at the same time.
