Enjoying the Holiday at Dongqian Lake, Ningbo

As everyone knows, Ningbo feels like a "ghost town" during big holidays like the Spring Festival. We didn’t go to crowded tourist spots~ Instead, we brought the little one to the Cordis Hotel in Ningbo, Dongqian Lake. It’s also very close to home, just over 20 kilometers by car. A change of scenery for the holiday. I booked a family room, which thoughtfully had a little elephant welcome on the bed 👏 for us. There was also a small tent and a plush little matchstick toy. The little one was so happy!! The hotel has a great view—it’s a sea view room!! Since it’s nearby, we booked for two days and one night. On the first day, we went to the Petting Zoo and the outdoor playground. The little pony in the petting zoo is named Lightning and was so well-behaved. Great for photos! We took lots of parent-child pictures, haha. The outdoor playground was also fun. It might be a bit cold these days~ so everyone can switch to the indoor playground! Lunch was at the hotel’s Dongyue Market, which has a very upscale environment. We ordered set meals, about 80 RMB per person, and the taste was pretty good! After playing and taking photos in the afternoon, we went back to the hotel to rest, then went to soak in the hot spring pool. The baby loved soaking in the warm hot spring pool in winter and kept saying they didn’t want to leave. We went to the mixed-gender pool, but there are also separate small hot springs for men and women. After soaking in the warm hot spring pool, we drove about 1.5 kilometers to Hanling Old Street to eat at Qingjia Mu. It was so delicious!! A true Ningbo flavor. On the second day, we slept in, had breakfast, took the baby to the indoor playground to burn off energy, and then headed home. The two-day, one-night trip was very relaxing and comfortable. Reverse parenting—I really am a little clever one~
