Ningbo | Sleeping by Dongqian Lake, Being a Leisurely Person in Time

Last August, on my self-driving trip to Zhoushan Putuo, I first encountered Dongqian Lake because of the phrase "the charm of Xizi, the grandeur of Taihu." It lies quietly in eastern Zhejiang, with the grace of Jiangnan and a rare expansiveness. At that moment, I knew Dongqian Lake was more than just a passing stop.
This March, drawn by a taste of spring, I stayed at "Dongqian Lake Lao Wang" in the Hilton🏨 and was embraced by a tranquil atmosphere that naturally made me feel more at ease. What you long for always echoes back. Taking advantage of the early autumn season, I once again settled myself here. No rushing, no crowds, simply living within the scenery.
On sunny days, I stroll along the lake, admiring sculptures, exhibitions, and the gentle lapping of the water. When lazy, I nestle in the hotel, daydreaming, listening to music🎵, or soaking in the bath with a massage💆🏻♀️, letting time flow slowly. Sometimes, I even head to the gym to sweat it out.
Unlike the fast pace of city hotels, the joy of a resort hotel is found in being "lazy."
I especially love sitting on the lawn by the Hilton pier, watching the shadows of trees sway, boats glide across the water, with a cup of Americano☕ and a book📖 in hand—that’s a whole afternoon.
Time here is not for chasing but for immersing. It’s wonderful to be a leisurely person in time✨.
