Compared to Hongcun, I prefer the summer here in Southern Anhui.
The days are filled with lush forests and the enchanting greenery of the Jiangnan courtyards, while the nights are adorned with dim lights and deer glimpsed amongst the deep woods, with fireflies twinkling around.
Colorful lanterns hang among the treetops, bringing a festive atmosphere.
This place maintains the tradition of exchanging coins for delicious food,
with its own vegetable gardens and farms, providing ingredients for a slow-paced, reclusive life in a hot spring town.
