[Hyogo Prefecture] Baseball tower engraved with the names of past winning schools

It was built in 1934 on the south side of Hanshin Koshien Stadium (outfield left outer perimeter) near the current Koshien Police Station to commemorate the 20th National Junior High School Baseball Championship (now the National High School Baseball Championship), and is a symbolic building of the Koshien area.
It was once destroyed by an air raid, but was rebuilt. As it had deteriorated, it was rebuilt again in 2008 and the current baseball tower stands.
The names of past winning schools are displayed on a plaque.
