Worship the Buddha of Compassion at Wat Buakwan

🏘 Wat Buakwan, a third-class royal monastery, was originally a hermitage and later developed into a temple in 1892 under the name Wat Sa Kae.
πŸŒ„ The temple has undergone continuous restoration. Later, Mr. Bua Chooncheow donated land to the temple, leading to its renaming as Wat Buakwan.
Key attractions and significant features within the temple include:
🏚 The original ordination hall, built in 1963, houses a Buddha image in the Maravijaya posture.
🏠 The four-gabled ordination hall, constructed in 2003, is a two-story reinforced concrete building in traditional Thai style. The interior is paved with marble and features high-relief murals depicting the life of the Buddha. Inside, the principal Buddha image, the Buddha of Compassion in the Maravijaya posture, is enshrined on a teakwood base intricately carved and inlaid with mother-of-pearl.
πŸ• The Viharn of Luang Pho To, built in 1996 in traditional Thai style, houses a replica of Phra Phutthasothon and Luang Pho To (Phra Maha Kaccayana). At the staircase entrance, there are statues of Thao Wessuwan on both sides, adorned with mirrored patterns.
