A luxury inn with tangible cultural heritage

📍 Numazu Club

There are only eight guest rooms.

There are various types of rooms, including Japanese-style rooms with futons, Western-style rooms with spacious balconies, and maisonettes that combine Japanese and Western elements.

Senbonmatsubara is one of the most scenic spots on the Tokaido road, attracting many artists and literary figures from the Meiji to Showa eras.

In one corner of the area, there is a Japanese-style building built based on the idea of a connoisseur who wanted to hold a tea ceremony for a thousand people.

In 2023, it will celebrate its 110th anniversary, and will be relaunched as a project to pass on Numazu's proud cultural assets to the next generation,

reborn as a restaurant serving Chinese cuisine in a course format reminiscent of tea kaiseki.

Adjacent to the approximately 10,000m2 site is a mansion-like accommodation facility with eight rooms designed by architect Akira Watanabe.

You can feel the leisurely flow of time as you become one with the garden scenery that spreads out below you.

Japanese and Western, classic and modern. Enjoy a unique hideaway where contrasting elements come together in perfect harmony.
