[Manju-ji Temple]
A temple of the Rinzai sect of Buddhism, founded in 1306, it was once counted as one of the Five Mountains and Ten Temples of Zen.
It is a temple of training where monks live and train.
The large mountain gate is stately, and the grounds are spacious, with the main hall, kitchen, Buddha hall, Zen hall, sutra repository, Kannon hall, and more.
The Kunisaki Tower is a city-designated tangible cultural property.
It is a sight of great historical value from the Kamakura period.
Sunday zazen is held every week from 7:00 to 8:00 a.m., and anyone can participate without making a reservation⭐️
If you have the time, please come✨
I visited in early summer, but the cherry blossoms are said to be beautiful in spring, so I recommend visiting in spring as well🌸
There are no goshuin stamps.
📍Location: 5-4-2 Kanaike-cho, Oita City, Oita Prefecture
[Raigoji Temple]
A Jodo sect temple with over 500 years of history✨
It has deep ties to Otomo Sorin, and you can feel that history.
The grounds are worth seeing, with a magnificent mountain gate, a bell tower that is over 200 years old, and a large reconstructed main hall⭐️
There is a sign in the parking lot with the tour route written on it, so it's a good idea to check the route first before visiting👍
There are goshuin (temple stamps), but they may be given to you on paper, so please check before visiting.
📍Location: 1-1-30 Nishikicho, Oita City, Oita Prefecture
Both temples are within walking distance of Oita Station, making them an easy place to stop by♪
A time trip to experience history and culture✨
It's also fun to travel to power spots and receive blessings😊
💰Price per person: Free
