Okayama π ππΈ Ashimori, Kita-ku, Okayama City
Ryusenji Temple
It is about a 10-minute drive from Okayama Airport, and is said to have been built by Hoon Daishi, who practiced mountaineering during the Nara period.
The torii gates and reflections on the banks of the pond are impressive.
The temple and stone walls were built in the early Meiji period.
The large pond is called Ryuo Pond π
It is said to be enshrined as the sacred object of the Eight Great Dragon Kings, the dragon god and god of water.
I didn't go this time, but there is also a Ryuo Falls where the general public can do waterfall training if they make a reservation ππ
There are also various other spots in the large grounds, such as the substitute Jizo and wetlands.
And above all, this season, the over 1,000 autumn leaves are very beautiful! Apparently, these maples were planted after naturally sprouting in a flowerpot.
It was crowded with people enjoying the autumn leavesβ
It's close to the airport, so if you come to Okayama,
you should definitely go here firstπ
There are some ups and downs,
so I recommend wearing comfortable shoesπ
