Sogen-ji Temple, Okayama, Japan

There is no fee to pay to visit the area as you can just walk in. As you enter the gate you are surrounded by a beautiful garden and the atmosphere is so quiet and relaxing. At the time of our visit we only met a couple of people so as you can imagine it was totally silent and it really provided a deep sense of calm.

There are monks living here I assume as we noticed some of them walking from one building to the other. Overall I am really happy we made a stop here and I would totally recommend coming here especially if you have a car but there should also be public transport available. #japantrip
