Symbol of Okinawa - Shurijo

Shurijo is the largest castle in Okinawa Prefecture. Due to the impact of World War II, most of the castle was destroyed, but in 1992, the castle was restored to its original form.
However, in the early morning of October 31, 2019, this nearly 600-year-old castle burned down. It is expected to be completed in the next few years.
