An Unforgettable Week at Six Senses Laamu

We just came back from a marvelous week at Six Senses Laamu. It truly was everything we wished for and beyond: stunning natural beauty, incredible marine life, delicious food, and hardly any rain! The kids thoroughly enjoyed the Junior Marine Biology program with the Biologists from the Maldives Underwater Initiative on the island. They learned about marine habitats, coral, and megafauna, and even had the chance to snorkel in each session, observing reef sharks, rays, and turtles, while assisting with data collection. Other favorites for the kids included surf lessons, the lovely pool, the mermaid photoshoot, the inflatable ride, the dolphin sunset cruise, the open-air cinema nights, the 48 ice cream flavors, and the delightful pancakes at breakfast—our son enjoyed a different shaped pancake every morning, from lionfish to manta ray! Highlights for us included snorkeling at the house reef, the Spa, the delightful cuisine, but most importantly, the exceptional service—a special mention to our GEM Riq who provided excellent care. Thanks also to Marteyne and the other staff who helped when my dress got stuck in my tricycle chain and to the tailors who fixed my dress. Every single staff member was amazing and exceedingly friendly—thank you all for making our stay at SSL so memorable.
