🌊Mount Manza, Okinawa: A Natural Spectacular Where the Sea and Sky Merge

Mount Manza, located in Onna Village on the west coast of Okinawa Main Island, is a national nature park and one of Okinawa's must-see attractions. "Manza" means "ten thousand people sitting down," and "Mo" is the Okinawan word for grassland or open space, referring to a large lawn that can accommodate ten thousand people.

Although the site is small, a complete circuit takes only about 10 minutes, the scenery is breathtaking. From the clifftop, you can overlook the azure waters crashing against the coral reefs, creating a breathtaking view of the merging sea and sky. Its iconic Elephant Trunk Rock, resembling an elephant's trunk jutting into the sea, is similar in style to Guilin's Elephant Trunk Hill. This area has also served as a filming location for numerous television dramas and movies, including "Love Battle Okinawa" and "It's Okay, That's Love."

Tips: Admission is 100 yen, and children are free. Open from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and may be closed during typhoons and other inclement weather. From Naha Airport, take bus No. 20 or 120 to the Onnason Yakujo-mae stop, then walk about 20 minutes to the destination. Driving is more convenient; there are temporary stalls near the parking lot where you can buy souvenirs and snacks.
