We had a 1 day epic pass as part of our disney/universal 14 day pass and had been looking forward to it for nearly a year.
First, the good bits.
Ministry of magic was amazing. Both the ride and the queue. 105 minute queue was about as good as it gets for this ride.
How to train your dragon rollercoaster was great.
The park looks amazing with the theme of the three zones we managed to visit.
The staff were helpful and friendly.
How to train your dragon show was great.
We had loads of fun collecting coins and keys in nintendo land.
The bad bits.
$35 for parking.
Dragon racers rally was short and boring.
Mario kart was OK but not worth doing again.
Mine cart madness should have been 95 min wait. In the end it broke down twice while we were in the queue. Total wait of 150 mins. On top of that the ride was rubbish.
We missed out on stardust racers because of the mine cart queue.
Didn't have time to go to dark universe as we'd spent all day queuing.
The carrousel was dull.
Water fountain closing display was underwhelming
Not enough rides.
Not enough shade.
Overall I have no desire to go back and am worried what the uk park is going to be like. Hopefully it will be more islands of adventure and less epic universe.
