I went to the soba izakaya "Ishibiki Juwari Soba Genmori Higashi Umeda Branch" located in Taiyuji-cho, Kita-ku, Osaka City.

Following the first store in Kitashinchi, it opened in Higashi Umeda in December 2022. You can only enjoy 100% buckwheat soba, which does not use any binders and allows you to enjoy the original aroma and flavor of buckwheat.

They are proud of their dishes using not only soba but also wild yam and Omi duck. You can enjoy them with alcohol. From 17:00 to 19:00, they offer alcohol for 100 yen per glass during happy hour.

・Ebi Tenmori Soba 1,518 yen
This is said to be the most popular menu item. A set of two large shrimp tempura, a tempura platter of shishito peppers, pumpkin, onion, and seaweed, and zaru soba noodles.

100% buckwheat soba that allows you to enjoy the original flavor and taste of soba, and has a crumbly texture and a good throat feel. It is glossy and beautiful in appearance. The soba soup has a rich dashi aroma and a slight sweetness. Finish with a rich soba soup. The mellow and comforting soba soup is also excellent.

・Yam sashimi with skin 638 yen
Yam is stickier and more flavorful than mountain yam. Enjoy the crunchy texture of this sashimi. Serve with wasabi and soy sauce.

・Omi duck thigh tataki 1628 yen
It has a sweet and refreshing fat, and is rich and juicy. It is very soft and the more you chew it, the more the flavor spreads in your mouth.
