Aoi Inari Okami is located on the Carnival Mall side of Namba Parks. The shrine was built in 1950 when Osaka Stadium (Osaka Baseball Stadium), the predecessor of Namba Parks, was completed. This area is said to have been the site of Namba Okura until the end of the Edo period (Namba Okura was a rice storehouse directly under the control of the Edo Shogunate that was established during the Great Kyoho Famine of 1732), and is said to have been used as a disaster relief storehouse.
