👘 Osaka Museum of Housing and Living is a museum that reproduces the houses and lifestyles of Osaka residents during the Edo period. The lights are turned on and off to create a realistic atmosphere.
👘 Take the elevator to the 8th floor and you will find the entrance to the museum. The entrance fee is 600 yen per person. When you enter, there is a kimono rental service for men, women, and children. The rental price for adults is 500 yen and the happi coat for children is 300 yen.
👘 Once you have chosen the desired outfit, there will be staff to help you put it on. However, you do not need to take off the clothes you are wearing. They will let you put on the kimono over your old clothes. The rental period is 30 minutes. When the time is up, you must return the clothes here. If you do not return in time, there will be a fine.
👘 After changing clothes, let's go find a corner to take pictures. This place has been built to look like a real city. There are shops, festival lanterns, Japanese houses, and many corners to take pictures that feel like you are walking through a Japanese temple fair.
👘 Access: Closed every Tuesday. Take the subway and get off at Tenjinbashisuji 6-chome Station, Exit 3.
