Yuelu Academy is located on the east side of Yuelu Mountain in Changsha City, Hunan Province. It is one of the four major academies in ancient China and was built in the Northern Song Dynasty. During the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty, it was renamed Hunan Higher School and is still a subsidiary of Hunan University. It is a rare "thousand-year-old school" in the world.
The buildings inside are antique and retain the architectural style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. There are still students painting and sketching inside🌳🌺
Entering the academy, passing through one door after another, there is a special landscape behind each door. It turns out that this is the courtyard with layers of progression, creating a solemn, mysterious, and remote sense of depth and visual effect👍
The academy is divided into five categories of buildings: "teaching, book collection, sacrifice, garden, and memorial". The Imperial Library is the most imposing, and "seek truth from facts" is also a golden sentence that scholars should remember🙏🤗🤗
