#大坂景点 Being in Osaka, a fierce battleground for Okonomiyaki, I am very happy to try this famous Michelin-recommended restaurant "Fukutaro"! This is indeed a famous store with a long queue. I still had to queue when I arrived at 9pm on a rainy day. Fortunately, I was able to get in in about 15 minutes.
Being seated in front of the bar was very atmospheric. In addition to the classic Okonomiyaki, this restaurant's specialty is the "Green Onion Okonomiyaki", so we tried the most popular assorted Okonomiyaki and beef green onion Okonomiyaki. The Okonomiyaki here is moist and fluffy and comes with a lot of sauce. The beef and green onion Okonomiyaki is in a more solid pancake shape, with a richer flavor and very soft beef. Both are cooked upon order and placed on the stove in front of you to keep warm, saving us tourists the trouble of worrying about not knowing how to cook and wasting the meal.
I kept missing this Okonomiyaki throughout the entire trip. It was really perfect as a midnight snack before returning to the hotel!
