#OsakaTrip
In the morning, I walked into Shitennoji, an ancient temple founded by Prince Shotoku with a history spanning a thousand years. It is one of Osaka’s most iconic Buddhist sites. Passing through the vermilion five-story pagoda, I arrived at a tranquil courtyard where the pond reflects the blue sky and the temple, as if time itself slowed down here. I quietly listened to the sound of the wind passing through the wooden corridors, feeling the profound Zen spirit and historical depth of the temple.
In the afternoon, I took the train to Uji to visit the World Cultural Heritage site, Byodo-in. Upon entering the temple, I was captivated by the elegant silhouette of the Phoenix Hall, its reflection mirrored in the pond, blending with the sky and earth like a serene painting. I savored a cup of Uji matcha in the courtyard, soaking in the leisurely atmosphere of this thousand-year-old temple. The afternoon sunlight shone on the moss-covered stone steps, and a gentle breeze brushed by, bringing a sense of peaceful isolation.
This day felt like stepping deep into time, experiencing the harmonious coexistence of history and nature.
