Standing on the banks of the Yodo River, the Old Sakuranomiya Public Hall, completed in 1931, is a neoclassical building with white columns and pale pink walls that perfectly embody "Showa Romance." As the largest pre-war public hall still existing in Japan, its interior stained glass dome and marble staircase still retain the glamorous atmosphere of the ballroom days 💃. The piano concerts held on the third Sunday of every month fill the century-old building with beautiful melodies 🎹.

Passing through the ginkgo tunnel behind the hall, you arrive at the 4-kilometer-long Sakuranomiya Park. In spring, 4,000 Somei Yoshino cherry trees turn the riverside into a sea of pink blossoms, while in autumn, the ginkgo avenue is carpeted with golden leaves 🍂. The most special feature is the "Water Corridor" in the park, a waterside space made of exposed concrete designed by Tadao Ando, creating a stunning view with Osaka Castle across the river.
