The park has about 4,800 cherry trees along a 4.2-kilometer cherry blossom trail stretching along the Okawa River. You can also overlook the entire cherry blossom trail from Sakuranomiya Bridge and Kawasaki Bridge, allowing you to experience the romantic beauty of this pink floral sea from different angles. Standing at a higher vantage point, you can take in the magnificent cherry blossom scenery in full view. Besides daytime viewing, the cherry trees along both sides of the river are illuminated at night.
Additionally, it’s about a 10-minute walk to the Osaka Tenmangu Shrine, which has a history of over a thousand years. This shrine is where locals and tourists pray for academic progress and career success. Cherry blossoms also bloom within the shrine grounds, so you can enjoy viewing the blossoms while offering your prayers!
