[Osaka] A historic shrine established in the 3rd century - Sumiyoshi Taisha

#SpringZeroYenTrip
Sumiyoshi Taisha is a shrine located in Sumiyoshi Ward, Osaka. When I visited, I was drawn in by its unique architectural style and peaceful atmosphere. What left the strongest impression was the main hall built in the Sumiyoshi-zukuri style, designated as a National Treasure. The vivid contrast of the vermilion pillars and white walls created a distinctive ambiance unlike any other shrine. The grounds are spacious, and the large arched bridge called the Taiko Bridge was even more impressive in person than in photos. Crossing it made my feet feel like they were shaking, which was a bit nerve-wracking. As I leisurely walked around the shrine buildings, I felt a calmness that made me forget the hustle and bustle of the city, and seeing the locals come to pray was soothing. This shrine, long revered as a protector of safe voyages and prosperous business, exudes a deep sense of history and the heartfelt wishes of the people, making it a place of tranquility.
