Sumiyoshi Taisha

Osaka
˗ˏˋ Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine ˎˊ˗
This shrine, home to some of Japan's oldest Shinto architecture, "Sumiyoshi-zukuri," is the head shrine of all Sumiyoshi shrines across Japan. ✨
Worshipped as the god of navigation and business prosperity, it's one of Osaka's top New Year's shrine visit spots.

And actually... this is also the birthplace of Issunboshi. 🥣
It's said that a couple praying for a child prayed to Sumiyoshi Myojin and were blessed with Issunboshi.

The story of how "even a small body can exert great power" continues to inspire worshippers today.
