A Local Stroll Through Kitahama – Pancakes, Roses & Riverside Calm

#cityplaybook

Just a short walk from Osaka’s busy business districts, Kitahama feels like a breath of fresh air. With riverside cafés, leafy parks, and quiet streets, it’s a perfect place to slow down and enjoy a relaxed day out.

I started my morning at Northshore Kitahama, a bright and breezy café with a Hawaiian vibe. Their pancakes? Fluffy, fresh, and stacked high with fruits—totally worth the hype.

After lunch, I wandered through the Nakanoshima Rose Garden. It’s small but beautiful, with over 3,000 roses blooming from spring to autumn. The riverside walkway makes it even more peaceful.

Later in the day, I stopped by Moto Coffee, one of my favorite spots in the area. With its vintage look and river view, it’s the kind of place where you can sit for hours without noticing the time.

Why I recommend Kitahama:
・It’s a stylish, laid-back area where you can enjoy nature, cafés, and good vibes
・Perfect for a local-style afternoon away from the tourist rush
