Located west of Yichuan County, Luoyang City, at the foot of Jingshan Park, the Ercheng Cultural Park boasts a prime location and stunning scenery. Spanning over 300 mu (approximately 1,000 acres), the park, an expansion of the former mausoleum of Cheng Hao and Cheng Yi, renowned Northern Song Dynasty thinkers, philosophers, educators, and founders of Neo-Confucianism, integrates tourism, leisure, education, and training. It is currently the largest Confucian cultural garden in China. The project, representing a 350 million yuan investment, officially opened on April 3, 2017.
The Er Cheng Cultural Park is dedicated to Cheng Hao and Cheng Yi, renowned thinkers, philosophers, educators, and founders of Neo-Confucianism during the Northern Song Dynasty. Respected throughout the world as the "Two Chengs," they inherited the sacred teachings, founded the Luo School, and laid the foundation for Neo-Confucianism. They inherited the teachings of Confucius and Mencius and passed them on to Zhu Xi. Their academic thought has dominated Chinese thought for nearly a thousand years. While Confucius is the Supreme Sage and Teacher, the Cheng brothers are the masters of Neo-Confucianism, considered among the greatest Confucian scholars of their time, comparable to Confucius and Mencius.
The teachings of the Cheng brothers formed the ideological framework of Song and Ming Neo-Confucianism, opening a new chapter in the history of Chinese Confucianism. Neo-Confucianism is a crucial component of the development of Chinese thought and culture, and holds profound significance for Chinese thought and education. The Cheng brothers made significant contributions to the inheritance and promotion of traditional Chinese culture. The Cheng brothers' cultural park, dedicated to the commemoration of the Cheng brothers, the study of Neo-Confucianism, and the promotion and inheritance of traditional culture, has been established as a cultural sanctuary, poised to play a vital role in the inheritance and promotion of traditional Chinese culture.

The academy cultural area is located on the east side of the Ercheng Cultural Park. It consists of more than a dozen halls, including the academy gate, Chunfeng Hall, Lixue Hall, Lixue Hall, Dacheng Hall, Four Saints Hall, Four Sages Hall, Daotong Temple and Jiugu Pavilion. It is a three-courtyard complex with a strict quadrangle layout, inheriting the dignified and rigorous characteristics of northern academies.
The Cheng Temple Memorial Area, located in the center, covers approximately 50 mu (approximately 1.5 acres) and is divided into five sections. The core area houses the Grandmaster Hall, the Two Saints Hall, and the Chongli Hall. Other sections include the Famous Sages Shrine, the Cheng Disciple Shrine, the Qisheng Shrine, and the Zhuiyuan Hall. The entire memorial area, constructed in the Song Dynasty style, serves as a dedicated commemoration area.
The Chenglin worship area on the west side consists of tombs, a hall for offering sacrifices, a sacred path, an altar, and an old ancestral hall. The total area covers approximately 74 mu (approximately 1.6 acres). This area features verdant ancient cypresses, solemn stone tablets, and ancient architecture.
