A beautiful restaurant in Osaka where you can enjoy French cuisine in a stunning sunroom

#OsakaFoodGuide

I’ve discovered a super favorite restaurant—Genso! This place is low-key and unpretentious, never aggressively promoting itself, yet quietly impresses everyone with its solid skills. What’s even more interesting is that you need a password to get in❓

The chef draws inspiration from the four elements "Fire, Wind, Water, Earth," perfectly blending the refinement of French cuisine with the elegance of Japanese food. Each dish feels like telling a story about nature📖.

The new spring menu is truly eye-catching! The appetizer is tuna paired with foie gras and apple, where the charred aroma of fire, the smoothness of water, and the fruity scent of wind cleverly intertwine. Midway through, there’s a dish that surprised me—a quail coated with roasted almonds, crispy on the outside and tender inside. Each bite bursts with a smoky aroma and juicy meat, combining wildness and delicacy.

During the meal, the staff presents a whole plate of fresh vegetables right in front of you, as if bringing the essence of "Earth" to the table. Then comes a seasonal vegetable and fruit platter, subtly seasoned to let you savor the purest flavors of the land.

The final dessert is sweet wine ice cream, with a delicate and creamy texture. Beneath it lies soft, sweet glutinous rice, and surprisingly, there’s loquat hidden inside. Such a delightful pairing perfectly ends the meal with a slightly tipsy flavor🍶.

The entire dining experience feels like a still life painting🖼️—light, elegant, and rhythmic. I recommend it to those who aren’t in a hurry and are willing to slowly feel the warmth and emotions of the dishes. Especially at noon, when sunlight streams through the glass into the restaurant, the atmosphere is incredibly cozy!
