Food Guide
When searching for great food in Osaka, this Michelin one-star "Sushiroku" is definitely my top recommendation! I even think it’s more impressive than many two- or three-star sushi restaurants. It’s perfect for a luxurious yet cozy dining experience with friends and family while exploring the Osaka Expo!
💰Affordable prices—dining for two costs about 50,000 yen, allowing you to savor master-level craftsmanship. Highly recommend booking online in advance, and prepayment is required! There’s no fixed drink menu; the chef kindly asks about your preferences. Whether you want rich Japanese whisky, refreshing sake, cold beer, or sweet and sour yuzu juice, the prices are very reasonable~
🍣Each piece of sushi is a delightful surprise! The tuna is rich in fat and melts in your mouth; the yellowtail is bursting with fresh flavor, delicate and layered in texture—definitely a must-try highlight! The sea urchin quality is decent and quite good. The only slight disappointment was the tamago, which wasn’t very outstanding.
👨🍳The chef’s service is friendly and professional. The only minor downside is that smoking is not allowed inside, but luckily there’s a cigar bar right next door. Just remember to have a friend or driver who speaks Japanese help with the reservation! Dining here during the Expo was super fun—our table included people from China, Singapore, the US, and Canada. A guy from New York was very enthusiastic, leading everyone to raise their glasses and chat, creating an amazing atmosphere!
If you want to experience high-level Omakase and feel the charm of Osaka’s cuisine, Sushiroku is definitely not to be missed!
