Traveling to Osaka, a comfortable train ride
We flew into Kansai International Airport, which is very convenient because there’s the Haruka Express train connecting the airport to Osaka city, taking about 50 minutes. The train ride offers beautiful views and is very enjoyable, with a modern Japanese atmosphere yet still peaceful in a Japanese way.
When we got off at Osaka station, we felt very excited because we saw bustling crowds, shops, restaurants, and colorful buildings everywhere. This is the unique charm of Osaka!

Accommodation in Namba area: cute, convenient, and cozy
We stayed around Namba, which is considered the heart of Osaka because it has everything—from restaurants and shopping to train stations, making traveling easy.
Our accommodation was very cute, a modern and clean Japanese-style hotel with soft beds and great service, just like being at home. The atmosphere was quiet but not far from the city’s excitement.

Osaka food… so delicious you won’t forget!
Osaka is known as the “kitchen of Japan” because the food here is truly amazing. We tried many famous dishes and want to share them with you:
• Takoyaki: hot, round octopus balls fragrant with sweet sauce and mayonnaise, big and full of flavor. We tried them on Dotonbori street and felt like eating delicious food made by real Japanese hands 🐙
• Kushikatsu: deep-fried skewers, crispy outside and tender inside, with choices of pork, chicken, and various vegetables, eaten with a special sauce. Crunchy and super enjoyable.
• Ramen: there are many small ramen shops with long queues. We chose one with rich broth and chewy noodles that matched perfectly 🍜
• Sushi and sashimi: fresh from Kuromon Market, tasting fresh seafood in one day was so satisfying, enjoying the authentic taste of Japanese sea.
Besides that, there are cute Japanese sweets like mochi, daifuku, and pastel-colored macarons to snack on while walking around, adding sweetness and refreshment 🍡🍧
⸻
Dotonbori area: unforgettable lights and fun
If you come to Osaka and don’t visit Dotonbori, it’s like you haven’t been! This area is super fun with many restaurants, beautiful neon lights, signs, and shops that make you feel like you’re in a Japanese movie.
We took photos with the giant crab sign “Kanidoragon” and the giant octopus sign, which are landmarks here. The atmosphere was lively and full of delicious food aromas. Walking and tasting food was pure joy.
⸻
Osaka Castle: beautiful and majestic
Another must-visit place is Osaka Castle, a symbol of the city, very beautiful and majestic. The white castle contrasts with the blue sky.
We strolled in the garden around the castle and saw cherry blossoms in full bloom during our visit. The atmosphere was great for relaxing, taking photos, and enjoying the view. If you like history, you’ll learn about samurai and old Japanese eras here.
⸻
Shopping at Shinsaibashi: full of cute things
Shopaholics must not miss Shinsaibashi, the longest shopping street in Osaka, featuring famous brands and local shops. We picked many cute souvenirs, including cosmetics, clothes, and home decor.
Some items have stylish designs and are affordable. If you love shopping in Japan, you must come here. You’ll definitely bring home lots of great stuff!
⸻
Osaka people: lovely, friendly, and very kind
What impressed me the most was how lovely and kind the people here are. Whether asking for directions or advice, everyone smiled and was genuinely willing to help. Sometimes they even spoke simple English to help us understand. It’s a warm feeling that’s hard to find.
⸻
The city atmosphere that lifts your heart
Osaka perfectly blends modernity and traditional culture. There are tall buildings, pedestrian streets, home-style restaurants, and beautiful gardens, all mixed charmingly.
Walking the streets, smelling delicious food, and hearing people chatting loudly in typical Japanese style made me feel like I was truly experiencing the lifestyle of Osaka locals. And tasting delicious food made me want to come back many times.
⸻
In summary, Osaka… is a dream city for many
If you want to travel in Japan beyond just Tokyo, with cuteness, delight, and complete fun, Osaka is the answer. It has attractions, food, shopping, cute accommodations, and very kind people.
Osaka made me feel like traveling joyfully, unhurried, chilling, tasting delicious food that lifts the heart, and learning about unique and charming Japanese culture.
If you have the chance, don’t forget to visit Osaka. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed!
