‘Grunier,’ the crème brûlée mille-feuille spot that’s super famous on Instagram
📍Location
Japan 〒530-0017 Osaka, Kita Ward, Kakudacho, 8 Hankyu Grand Building, 1F (Hankyu Department Store 1st floor, Umeda Station)
📍Business Hours
10:00 AM - 8:00 PM
I had been wanting to eat at Grunier even before coming to Japan.
Since I had to stop by Umeda Station, Grunier was the first thing that came to mind.
It was easier to find than I thought since it’s on the 1st floor of Hankyu Department Store.
I went at 12 noon, but it was sold out ㅠㅠ
But don’t worry, we have one more chance.
Grunier’s mille-feuille is served twice a day, at 10 AM and 2 PM.
I decided to wait until 2 PM, hehe (I’m serious about desserts).
While browsing the department store, I arrived around 1:35 PM and people started lining up.
I quickly joined the queue as the third person waiting.
Finally got to try the dazzling crème brûlée mille-feuille.
The 2-hour wait? Totally worth it... 🥹
Is it even okay to be this delicious?
Beyond crispy, it’s a flaky mille-feuille filled with custard packed with vanilla beans... an unbeatable combo.
The cream was generous, really generous, the crepe was filled with cream to the very end.
It’s 10,000 yen, but it feels like a very generous dessert.
If you’re going near Umeda Station, or even if you go out of your way to find it, you won’t regret the taste...
I seriously, seriously recommend it 👍🏻
