Shenyang Strange Hill Siberian Tiger Park is a specialized wildlife park dedicated to the conservation and study of Siberian tigers. It aims to educate the public on endangered species while providing opportunities for close encounters with tigers in a safe environment.
The park is located in Shenyang, Liaoning Province. Visitors can reach it via taxi, ride-hailing services, or tour buses. Public buses may reach nearby stops, but walking from the city center is not practical due to distance.
The park is generally open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The best times to visit are in the spring (April–June) and autumn (September–October) when the weather is pleasant and tigers are more active outdoors.
Adult tickets are approximately 120–150 CNY, and child tickets are around 60–80 CNY. Tickets can be purchased at the entrance or through online platforms affiliated with the park.
Booking in advance is recommended during weekends, holidays, and peak seasons. Tickets can be reserved 1–2 weeks ahead for guaranteed entry and to participate in special feeding sessions.
Visitors typically spend 3–4 hours exploring the park, including walking trails, viewing tigers, and attending animal shows.
Guided tours are available in Mandarin. English guides may be arranged in advance for groups, but audio guides are generally not offered.
Start with the safari ride to see tigers up close, then walk the trails to explore other wildlife areas, visit educational exhibits, and finish with photography spots and souvenir areas near the exit.
The park primarily operates during daytime. Special feeding sessions or seasonal events may occur, but night visits or light shows are generally not available.
The park can be crowded on weekends, holidays, and school vacations. Weekdays and off-season months are the least crowded.
Facilities include public toilets, water fountains, snack stalls, cafes, rest areas, and souvenir shops.
The park is generally accessible for children and elderly visitors, though safari routes may involve uneven terrain. Wheelchair access is limited in some outdoor areas.
Both cash and mobile payment options (Alipay, WeChat Pay) are accepted at ticket counters, food stalls, and shops.
Restaurants inside the park provide quick meals and snacks. Nearby Shenyang areas offer local Liaoning cuisine and cafes.
Vegetarian options are available in park eateries and nearby restaurants. Halal options may be limited and should be confirmed beforehand.
Several hotels and guesthouses in Shenyang city are 20–40 minutes away by car, ranging from budget to mid-range accommodations.
Souvenir shops sell tiger-themed toys, stuffed animals, postcards, and local handicrafts.
