"Namba Yasaka Shrine" in the Namba area of Osaka is a must-visit landmark 😊
🦁 Highlights you can't miss
• Features a distinctive giant lion head structure, 12 m tall and 11 m wide, called Shishiden, believed to "swallow" evil to ward off bad luck 
• Post-war architecture from 1974, rebuilt after being bombed and burned in 1945

• This shrine is dedicated to Susanoo-no-Mikoto, the slayer of Yamata-no-Orochi, the eight-headed dragon
• During the Tsunahiki Shingi rope-pulling festival on the third Sunday of January and the Ancient Boat Festival in mid-July, there are traditions of pulling snake-shaped ropes and boats passing through Dotonbori
