Quanzhou Forest Park, located in Donghai Town, Fengze District, stretches from Daping Mountain to the west, to Houzhu Port and Quanzhou Bay to the east, borders Tonggang Road to the south, and encompasses the Luoyang River estuary to the north, covering a total area of 547.1 hectares. Leveraging coastal resources such as the Little Peach Blossom Mountain and the Quanzhou Bay Estuary Wetland Reserve, as well as the historical sites of ancient Quanzhou, the park will highlight its unique historical and cultural status as a renowned overseas Chinese hometown, the starting point of the Maritime Silk Road, and a focal point of world religions. The park will be a picturesque natural ecological park, encompassing unique rock formations, rivers, wetlands, seabirds, historical sites, and forests.
The park is divided into four areas: Taoling Chunxiao Scenic Area, Jinshan Lansheng Scenic Area, Konggu Fanyin Scenic Area, and Landscape Coordination Scenic Area. Since its construction began in late 2002, the Taoling Chunxiao Scenic Area, located at the park's main entrance, has been fully completed and is currently the main attraction for visitors. The Jinshan Lansheng Scenic Area is also nearly complete and open to visitors. The Donghai Guanyin Temple and Dataohua Mountain in the Konggu Fanyin Scenic Area will be renovated into landscape forests next year, and will be accessible upon completion of the hiking trails.
