Osaka | Affordable Business Hotel in the Quiet Heart of Uehonmachi Daiwa Roynet Hotel Osaka Uehonmachi

Daiwa Roynet Hotel Osaka Uehonmachi

For this trip, I stayed four nights in Osaka, with the first three nights at Osaka Uehonmachi near the Kintetsu Line. The transportation is convenient, with subway access as well, and it’s only two stops from Namba. However, there are fewer tourists and the room rates are much lower, offering a peaceful retreat in the bustling city.

Although it looks like a residential area, there are quite a few izakayas and shopping centers hidden around. Nearby are the yakitori izakaya Guapos and the creative ramen spot Colavolta. The living functions and quality are quite good.

This time I stayed at the affordable chain business hotel Daiwa Roynet Hotel. The standard double room is 18 square meters, with a decent amount of space. It has the usual business hotel layout and decor—simple and clean, but without many extra facilities.

Daiwa in Osaka is definitely a bit more expensive than in Kyoto. Three nights without breakfast cost NT$6,469, averaging NT$2,156 per night. Considering the 2025 EXPO OSAKA period, this should be considered affordable.
