Late-night food district in Osaka

This is the Shinsekai district, one of Osaka's famous areas. It’s filled with shops and restaurants lining both sides of the street. The highlight here is the shop signs, which are very distinctive and beautifully lit up at night. Each shop sign has its own mascot, making them eye-catching and easy to remember. We went for a late-night food hunt in this area and ate at a yakiniku (grilled meat) restaurant. The beef was absolutely amazing—Japanese beef is truly unbeatable. This place is very crowded and is one of the liveliest districts at night.

How to get there
Subway (Osaka Metro):
Dobutsuen Mae Station: Take the Midosuji Line and get off at Dobutsuen Mae Station, then walk about 5 minutes.
