[Treasures of Eastern Art] Osaka Fujita Museum: A Tranquil Sanctuary of a Thousand Years of Eastern Aesthetics**

**【

Hidden in Osaka’s Miyakojima Ward, the Fujita Museum is the most poetic art secret in the Kansai region. Founded by the Fujita family, a Meiji-era zaibatsu, this private museum has only three exhibition rooms (each displaying 30-50 masterpieces), yet it houses 9 Japanese National Treasures and 53 Important Cultural Properties, including the Southern Song dynasty Yohen Tenmoku tea bowl (one of only three in the world) and Su Shi’s "Bamboo Painting," among other unparalleled masterpieces.

The building itself is a work of art—converted from the Fujita family’s warehouse, with glass and white walls complementing a Japanese garden. Light and shadow filter through washi paper window lattices, while the tea room "Kosetsuan" and the shaded tea house create a Zen atmosphere. The July themed exhibition features "Sake," "Rain," and "Birds," with rotating exhibits that always bring new surprises. Admission is only 1,000 yen, yet you can immerse yourself in Eastern aesthetics spanning a millennium. It is the most worthwhile cultural destination to visit outside of Kyoto!
