Located on the first floor of Nakajin Building, a two-minute walk from Honmachi Station, Sake & Sashimi Toyao is a creative Japanese restaurant run by a chef who trained for 10 years at a two-star Michelin restaurant and served as the owner of the popular Tamatsukuri restaurant, "Katsushun Omasu."
In a relaxing, Japanese-inspired space, you can relax and enjoy artisanal cuisine and approximately 20 varieties of sake. Based on the concept of "carefully preparing seasonal flavors," the restaurant's charm lies in its delicate dishes prepared from dashi stock and exquisite dishes with a touch of care.

The corn buns have an exquisite balance of sweetness and dashi, while the cold potato soup is smooth and gentle. Each of the three sashimi dishes is seasoned differently: amberjack with sesame soy sauce and mountain-style grated tuna, sea bream with egg yolk and sake kasu kasu, and pounded bonito with grated chili vinegar, all of which have their own distinctive character.
The salt-grilled sea bass is refreshing with the combination of grated water chestnut vinegar and salmon roe, while the somen noodles in nameko broth are a refreshing dish. The chawanmushi with sweet bean paste and matsutake mushrooms is fragrant, and the potato and octopus skewers have a warm and comforting taste.
The ham asparagus rolls are surprisingly delicious with their curry-flavored coconut sauce. The pot-cooked black beans and edamame rice are fragrant, and the meal is finished off with a refreshing mango jelly and ice cream.
The restaurant has both counter and table seating, and the subdued lighting and warm wooden ambiance create a comfortable space. Perfect for solo time, dates, or business dinners, it's recommended for a quiet evening when you want to savor delicious food.
