Gokan, a dessert shop that you can see right away when you exit Osaka Kitahama Station Exit 2

Gokan has been consistently popular since it opened in 2005.

It is always listed in Tabelog's list of 100 best sweet shops in the country.

First of all, the building that Gokan uses is a bank building built in 1922,
and is currently designated as a tangible cultural property of Japan.

That's why people who are interested in architecture come here on purpose...

When you enter the store, you can see various desserts on the 1st floor,
and they sell Japanese desserts as well as various cakes.

There are some good gift items,
and there are also individual products so you can taste various things, which was nice.

And Gokan uses the 2nd floor as a cafe,
and it is said that it is so popular for afternoon tea that there is a waiting line.
(There was a waiting line when I went there too.)

Even though I was alone, they kindly showed me to a seat,
so I was able to enjoy afternoon tea leisurely without worrying about what other people thought.

It was a little pricey, but it was worth it.
