Must-try: A café established in 1950 with ultra-thick egg sandwiches

New YC Cafe, originally opened in 1950 (Showa 25), is located in the Shin-Umeda Shokudogai near Umeda Station. The café retains its classic and elegant décor, adorned with numerous antique ornaments that exude a sense of history, making it feel like stepping into a museum.

The main reason for my visit was to try their ultra-thick egg sandwiches 🥪 and the limited-quantity pudding 🍮. The sandwiches are only available after the breakfast hours. The bread is toasted to a golden brown, and the thick-cut egg filling, made with five eggs 🥚, is soft, fluffy, and flavorful. The pudding has a rich egg aroma, complemented by a slightly bitter caramel sauce.

A quick note: this café ☕️ allows smoking and is in an enclosed space, so it might not be suitable for those sensitive to smoke.
