👋 Ohayo from Osaka, Japan🇯🇵

Isshinji Temple, one of Japan's oldest temples, boasts a strikingly ancient and impressive image. Initially, when visiting Osaka, I had no idea about Isshinji Temple. However, as I was passing through the Shinsekai area, I came across Isshinji Temple, where many locals were walking around. I thought I had to give it a shot.

The unique feature of the temple's black entrance is its modern, contrasting appearance from other temple entrances. The two giant statues, acting as doorkeepers, are strikingly striking. The design was created by the former abbot, who was also an architect.

Another unusual feature is that this temple is home to so many deceased people that the space is limited, so their ashes are used to cast a Buddha statue every 10 years.

There is no admission fee for this temple. However, kneeling in the prayer hall and cemetery area is not permitted.
