Oslo: Akershus Castle and Fortress

Akershus Castle and Fortress in Oslo is a really interesting spot to explore if you like history mixed with good views. The old stone walls and towers give you a sense of Norway’s past, and walking around the grounds feels calm but also impressive. Inside the castle, there are rooms showing royal history and even a chapel, while outside you can just enjoy wandering around at your own pace. I especially liked the view over the harbor—it makes the place feel even more special. It’s not overly large, so you can see a lot without rushing. A solid stop in Oslo. #northerneurope
