Chiba's Hidden Gem: SHINRA YORO VALLEY Hot Spring Inn

Located in the secluded Yoro Valley of Chiba Prefecture, this hot spring is about a 3-hour train ride from Tokyo. Nestled within the valley, it offers breathtaking views and a truly scenic hot spring experience. The rare black hot spring water is slightly viscous and is said to be great for your skin.

With rates starting at 58,000 yen per night including two meals, it’s quite reasonable. I stayed in the Classic Wing, which is a renovated section of an old hot spring inn. While my room didn’t have a view of the river, I could see the lush greenery and the valley.

The lounge offers unlimited drinks and snacks. Private hot springs and the heated pool are free to use, while the sauna is available for an additional fee.

If you request in advance, they can arrange a pick-up service from Yoro Valley Station. The inn has only been open for two months, so make sure to visit before it becomes too popular! 🥰
