This time, we will take you on a tour of Hokkaido to Otaru City. The first place you can't miss is the famous Otaru Canal. If you don't check in, it's like you haven't been to Otaru!

👉 We recommend coming before 16:00 to see both day and night views. At night, there will be lights along the canal, which is very beautiful. 🌉
🚤 There is a boat trip on the Otaru Canal. The cost is 1,500 yen and it takes about 40 minutes.

🚄 How to get there
- JR Sapporo, take the JR Hakodate Line to Otaru, it takes about 40 minutes and get off at Minami-Otaru Station (the station before the final destination Otaru / fare 750 yen or use the JR Pass).

TIPS: We chose to get off at Minami-Otaru because we can walk to visit important landmarks all the way to the Otaru Canal. And you can travel back to JR Otaru without having to walk back and forth.
