[A must-visit! The world of stained glass]

📍 Otaru Art Village Stained Glass Museum

The works housed at the Stained Glass Museum in the Former Takahashi Warehouse in Otaru Art Village were produced in England from the late 19th century to the early 20th century, and are stained glass that actually decorated church windows.

In recent years, many churches in England have been demolished due to various circumstances, but these works escaped destruction and have followed a strange fate over the course of time to come to Japan.

The images and letters depicted in the stained glass condense the history of Britain, from the glorious era under Queen Victoria to the Edwardian era and on to World War I.
Please feel the passage of time slowly in a space of beautiful and majestic light.
